Pterosaur Teeth

Huge reptiles once ruled the air! Siroccopteryx moroccoensis was a giant pterosaur (flying reptile) with an estimated 20 foot wingspan, making it one of the largest pterosaurs known. Its arms were modified into true wings since its fourth finger was elongated and supported a skin membrane that stretched to the body. It probably flapped its wings occasionally for powered flight. It used its long, pointy teeth to snag fish or other marine life out of the water. It also ate insects and other small animals along the ocean shores. It is still unknown whether it walked around on land and could take off from the ground, or it hung from trees and cliffs and took off from there.

Our Pterosaur teeth were found in Morocco and are from the Mid and Upper Cretaceous Ages, making them over 65 million years old!
